Prayer/Praise Service from 6:30pm-7:00pm and Bible Study from 7:00pm-8:00pm.

Festival of Booths

Sunday, August 6, 2023 lesson title “Festival of Booths”. Bible Background Nehemiah 7:73B-8:18. Printed Text Nehemiah 8:13-18. Devotional Reading Exodus 23:12-17.
Keep in Mind: “And all the congregation of them that were come again out of the captivity made booths, and sat under the booths: for since the days of Jeshua the son of Nun unto that day had not the children of Israel done so. And there was very great gladness” (Nehemiah 8:17, KJV).
By the end of this lesson, we will: UNDERSTAND the significance of celebrating God’s blessings; REFLECT on our own attitudes toward celebrating God’s blessings; and PLAN to celebrate God’s blessings.
Today’s lesson reminds us that as Christians, we can have joy and celebrate life while acknowledging God as the source of every good and perfect gift.

Gifts for the Temple

Sunday, July 30, 2023 lesson title “Gifts for the Temple”. Bible Background Ezra 8:24-30. Printed Text Ezra 8:24-30. Devotional Reading Mark 12:38-44.
Keep in Mind: “And I said unto the, Ye are holy unto the LORD; the vessels are holy also; and the silver and the gold are a freewill offering unto the LORD God of your fathers” (Ezra 8:28, KJV).
By the end of this lesson, we will: KNOW that as an act of worship, we should be willing to give generously of our time and talents to the Lord; FEEL that we should give to the Lord; and GIVE to the Lord.
In today’s lesson, we see how Ezra prepared gifts of precious metals that were to be carried by the priests and the Levites to the House of God.

Temple Restored

Sunday, July 9, 2023 lesson title “Temple Restored”. Bible Background Ezra 3:8-13. Printed Text Ezra 3:8-13. Devotional Reading Psalm 66:1-12.
Keep in Mind: “And they sang together by course in praising and giving thanks unto the LORD; because he is good, for his mercy endureth for ever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid” (Ezra 3:11, KJV).
By the end of this lesson, we will: KNOW that we should find joy in restoration; FEEL joy in restoration; and PRAISE God for restoration.
God’s Word promises that He would cause us to triumph in His name and bring us to a place of victory. In today’s lesson, we will read how God uses Jeshua, the Levitical priests, and Zerubbabel, the governor of Jerusalem, to restore the Temple of God after returning from exile in Babylon.
